Tonight is the Senior Recital at the high school. My daughter is one of five students selected to perform a solo, fifteen minute program this evening. I couldn’t be more proud of her! After this evening’s program, we’ll have a little reception with the family, friends and faculty that come. I’ve made a few decorations for this evening. I’ll try to remember to take some pictures — not my strong suit.
For today though, I have my design team card for the TSOT sketch challenge.
I’ve combined You’re So Lovely with the wonderful TSOT271 sketch.
For me, this sketch just screamed for designer paper!
In fact, I may have to use it several more times with a variety of patterns.
This card starts with a standard Basic Black card base (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″), scored down the middle.
Next, I added a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ layer of Melon Mambo that was topped with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of It’s My Party designer paper.
Just off center is a 7/8″ x 4″ vertical piece of Melon Mambo.
Using the 1″ and 1-1/4″ circle punches, I cut the three smaller circles of It’s My Party designer paper.
For the sentiment, I stamped the outline image with Tuxedo Black and the “Happy Birthday” in Melon Mambo.
Then I took the sixth and seventh smallest Circles Collection Framelits and cut out both the outline image and the sentiment from You’re So Lovely.
The outline and the two 1-1/4″ designer paper punches were adhered directly to the designer paper layer.
Both the sentiment and the 1″ circle of designer paper were popped up with dimensionals.
Simple, pretty card.
Try it!
