Words of Truth – I’m Proud of You

October 2, 2015 No Comments

Words of Truth is the perfect stamp set for backpack notes, a quick pick me up for a friend or coworker, a little journaling for a scrapbook of Project Life page, etc.  I purchased it a couple of months ago knowing that I would need it.

My daughter has played the cello since second grade.  Aside from the lesson once a week at school, she had no additional instruction.  But, early on she would work ahead in the lesson book and once she got to middle school she would take note of what the kids with outside instruction were doing and she would learn to do that at home.  When she got to high school she began to take outside instruction and she has continued to practice almost every day.  Well, she auditioned for and once again made the Chamber Strings at the school.  But this time, she earned first chair on the cello.  She was soooo excited!!!  And I’m so proud of her, her long term effort and her accomplishment.

I had to make a card.

The sentiment says it all and I didn’t want that message to be over shadowed by the card design so, I chose to go simple.

There’s a 100lb. Whisper White cardstock base followed by a layer of Schoolhouse designer paper.

The Words of Truth sentiment is stamped with Basic Black archival ink on a piece of Vellum cardstock.

Three White Perfect Accents are the only embellishment on this card.

The words and the embellishment provided the perfect places to add and hide the glue to adhere the Vellum to the Schoolhouse designer paper.

As I said at the top, this card was all about the sentiment.

I couldn’t be more proud of her.

Who could use a Words of Truth card from you?
