We had a little excitement here over the weekend! On Sunday, there was a dedication of a statue to honor Larry Holmes. The high school band played, the city turned out and so did some recognized names from boxing like Don King. I’d share a picture or two but, since I was chaperoning the band all you would see is the back of the band. The kids thought it was fun to be a part of the event. A few even waited in line afterwards to meet and greet. And boy was there a line! If you’re interested, there are pictures and videos available online.
In crafting news though, I have my design team card to share.
I used Wonderland with the TSOT249 sketch. And, I flipped part of the sketch. You know you can do that, right?
This card starts with a Lost Lagoon base. Then, I cut a piece of Color Me Irresistible designer paper and sponged it with Lost Lagoon ink. The paper made me think of the big, fat snowflakes that we get sometimes.
After cutting a circle from my designer paper, I cut a second circle the same size from Whisper White.
I stamped the trees first in Smoky Slate. Then I came back and added a layer of trees inked in Lost Lagoon. Some of these trees were stamped at full strength and some were stamped off. Stamping that way adds more depth.
The Whisper White circle is adhered directly to the base cardstock. And the designer paper layer was added with dimensionals.
Next, I added a Silver Foil strip onto which was stamped the sentiment from Winter Wishes. Since the Foil paper is slick, I inked my stamp in Versamark then Lost Lagoon and heat embossed with clear powder.
The Snowflake Elements were inked with both Versamark and Lost Lagoon. Then I added Heat and Stick before adding Dazzling Diamonds. I love these shimmery blue snowflakes!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Wonderland design team card.
