Hi! Welcome to my blog. Today I wanted to let you in on what’s kept me so busy most of the week. You see the end of last week, I saw an article about a teacher at Stoneman Douglas High School that wanted cards sent to her students. I thought, “I can do that!” Then I thought, “But, I want them to get lots of cards.” So on Friday, I contacted the Instrumental Music Teacher at our high school. She arranged for me to come in on Saturday and Monday and let the band and orchestra kids write notes. They were amazing!
I spent Tuesday and Wednesday decorating their cards. These are just part of the cards! Thank goodness for Paper Pumpkin Kits!! Without them, sending out 143 cards in almost the blink of an eye would not have been possible. Now, would you like to take a look at another alternative creation for the Wildflower Wishes Paper Pumpkin kit?
Wildflower Wishes Paper Pumpkin
I started thinking about what other kinds of things I could make with the kit that would be seasonal.
Then, I remembered I have friends who like to include gift cards along with
the goodies in the Easter basket.
To make this gift card holder, I used half of one of the card bases that came in the kit.
Then, I scored it at the midpoint (2-3/4″).
Next, I stamped an all over design with one of the stamps from the kit
before tying it together with a piece of Very Vanilla Lace Trim.
Then, I added some of the die cut stickers for just a little pop of color.
After stamping the sentiment from Wildflower Wishes, I cut it out with the Everyday Label Punch.
Before adding the sentiment tag to the gift card holder,
I tucked in some of the Vellum die cuts.
I love the light texture these pieces add.
And there it is — quick and easy!
Perfect for that last minute, uh oh, I forgot to take care of that gift moment.
