Now, whimsical is not usually my style. But, I thought the Hello Love Hostess Set had some fun elements and provided some smaller elements to color. I pulled it out to play today as it hadn’t yet seen any ink.
This little bird reminds me of the real birds around my house chirping and singing away as the sun rises. Kind of like some ancient tale of singing the sun out of his slumber.
I’ve stamped him in Bermuda Bay and let him thoroughly dry. Then I came back with my Coastal Cabana Blendabilities and shaded him.
The sun was inked in Daffodil Delight. Then a 1″ circle of Daffodil Delight cardstock was added to the center. Again using my Blendabilities, this time Daffodil Delight, I tinted the Basic Rhinestone accents.
To finish the card front, I used the File Tab edgelits to cut both the Wild Wasabi and Whisper White layers so that they fit together like puzzle pieces. The Hardwood stamp was inked in Wild Wasabi so that you get a tone on tone design. Love how the coordinating ink color shows up on the same color cardstock. To finish this whimsical card, I ran a line of Fast Fuse across the front and attached strips of Linen Thread. The Fast Fuse was perfect for this and couldn’t have been easier.
