I had a lovely morning yesterday with a new friend. The week before as part of a Stampin’ Up! challenge, in which I was taking part, I had made a presentation to a new group. My new friend was part of this group. We spent a couple of hours chatting and getting to know each other. And when she asked about the technique used on one of the cards in the holiday catalog, I was of course happy to share. She wanted to CASE one of the cards in the Holiday Catalog and I shared how easy the technique is. When I was done, I had a pretty layer for a card.
My card is a kind of CASE of a card on page 18 in the Holiday Catalog (see the catalog in the tab above). If you’re not familiar with the term – Copy And Share Everything – it means to down right copy or to use the idea as the stepping off point. The second definition of CASE is what I’ve done here.
I used a piece of Shimmery White cardstock and stamped “Merry” from Seasonally Scattered. Then, it was heat embossed with Silver. Next, I took my Aqua Painter and Lost Lagoon ink and lightly brushed a wash of color over and around the embossed image. To this panel, I added Lost Lagoon Taffeta ribbon and 1/8″ Silver Ribbon. Next, the panel was layered onto a Lost Lagoon base. And the final touch was one of the All Is Calm Snowflake embellishments.
Another pretty, simple card for Christmas that’s perfect for creating multiples.
