On Wednesday, I shared a cute box that I made using the Berry Basket bigz die and Watercolor Wings. I promised to come back and show you the cards that would be placed inside and I’m doing that today. I’m also sharing a super short video on a new technique I’m calling Splattered Glitter. Not even half as messy as that sounds!
I carried the look of the box right on through to the cards.
This is going to make such an elegant gift.
I made a stack of these love note size cards (finished size is 3 x 3) on the new 100lb. Whisper White cardstock — perfect for bases.
For the cards, I used the smaller butterfly layers in the Watercolor Wings stamp set.
The Pacific Point ink was lightly stamped off first and then the Memento Tuxedo Black border was added.
The dotted trim at the bottom is also a stamp from Watercolor Wings. It was inked in Smoky Slate and stamped off. Above it, I added a strip of Everyday Chic washi and a strip of Basic Black cardstock that was leftover from cutting the trim for the Berry Basket Box.
Now for the Splattered Glitter Technique!
Love this idea!

After adding the Splattered Glitter it was time to adhere the Watercolor Wings butterfly. First I added a couple of glue dots to hold my Silver Metallic thread bow and then a dimensional to adhere the butterfly.
I’d love to see what you create with this technique. Come share it in my facebook crafting group – https://www.facebook.com/groups/theartfulinkerslovetocraft/
