This was an “I need a sketch day”. This week begins a month of extra busy-ness volunteering with the orchestra and band at the local high school. Since my brain is a little overloaded with uniform fitting, snacks and volunteer schedules, I needed a kick start. After I pulled out Vintage Leaves, it needed some ink, I looked through some of my favorite sketch blogs. I decided to combine two – PPA262 and FMS198.
Here’s what I ended up with:
The PPA262 challenge was to use Pool Party, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe. FMS198 provided the sketch.
My Vintage Leaves are inked in Pool Party and have a subtle splatter of Tip Top Taupe behind them.
Under that layer is a piece of Pretty Petals designer paper.
Moving in closer
you can notice the Silver Bakers Twine around the strip of Tip Top Taupe and some scattered medium Basic Pearls over the Whisper White base layer.
The card base is Pool Party cardstock.
This card is all about subtle and was perfect for my brain that’s a little too focused elsewhere today.
This bit of creativity did spur a new technique discovery. I’ll share that tomorrow.
