Tropical Chic in Sahara Sand

Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. And friends, I’m just loving the Tropical Chic stamp set. Yesterday, a little tongue in cheek, I said that I needed to try this stamp set in the remaining 40 colors I had not yet used. Well with today’s Tropical Chic in Sahara Sand, I’m down to 39 😉

 

Tropical Chic in Sahara Sand

 

 

The various leaves and flowers in Tropical Chic are perfect for creating a

monotone card.

They provide lots of visual textures.

To create the background, I inked in Sahara Sand and stamped off before

stamping on the Very Vanilla layer.

Then, I matted this layer with a piece of Sahara Sand leaving just a micro border.

 

 

Next, I stamped a sentiment from Stitched All Around and

layered it with a piece of Sahara Sand cut with the Stitched Labels Framelits.

These dies are to die for — and a must have in my opinion!!

Under the layered sentiment, I used a piece of Crumb Cake ribbon and

Gold Metallic Thread.

And to finish, I added a few Pearl Basic Jewels in various sizes.
