Last night was the last Orchestra concert of my daughter’s high school career. It was a wonderful concert that included performances with the Artists in Residence. The program at the school has provided so many wonderful opportunities for her and the other students. It was certainly a little sad to see this part come to a close. The program is great, the kids are wonderful and there are many parents that I have had the pleasure to get to know these past few years.
One of the really lovely moments in the evening was that one of my brothers drove the seven hours to get here just to hear/see her play this last time. Then we had time for a quick dinner before he had to turn around and drive home. That’s a lot of time in the car to be able to spend a couple of hours with family. I know we both truly appreciated it!
And speaking of appreciation, that’s what today’s card is about.
I was delivering orders yesterday and wanted a small card to include with them.
I started with an 8″ x 4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.
It was scored at 4″ to create a 4″ x 4″ card base.
Then, I added a 4″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Botanical Gardens designer paper.
Next, I stamped “thank you”, from Tin of Cards, onto Very Vanilla in Hello Honey ink.
The sentiment piece was cut with one of the Tags and Labels Framelits and added with a couple of Dimensionals.
To finish, I added three small Mint Macaron flowers that had been cut with the flower from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack (retiring).
Finally, I placed the flowers on my Stampin’ Pierce Mat and used my stylus to press down in the center to give each flower some dimension before gluing them to the card.
Pretty, simple, thank you card.
Thanks for stopping by.
