I took my daughter to school this morning and when I returned home, I was excited to see a Robin in my drive. The first Robin of the coming season. I haven’t begun to get antsy for Spring yet but, I know it won’t be long. I just love the long bloom time that starts sometime in March and runs through the beginning of June. I keep looking at things outside and thinking, “I should start working on them a little bit at a time.” Maybe next week after the play is over. I could be coaxed along with a few days of warmer weather — I’m easy that way.
Today, I decided to create with Timeless Textures.
It spoke to me as soon as I saw it in the Occasions Catalog and I can’t say why it has taken me so long to get some ink on it. There are so many wonderful textures that could be incorporated into most any project.
I’ve combined Timeless Textures with GDP025.
The challenge was a color scheme: Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate.
I’ve used the Basic Gray as my card base and added a layer of Smoky Slate.
One of the Timeless Textures stamps was perfect for creating the appearance of a shadow and was inked in Smoky Slate.
The Daffodil Delight teacup was cut with the Cups and Kettle Framelits. Then it was stamped with another image from Timeless Textures. This image was inked with Basic Gray Archival Ink.
The banner trio on the left starts with a piece of Have a Cuppa designer paper. Next is the Daffodil Delight banner stamped with yet another image from Timeless Textures. This one was also inked in Basic Gray Archival. Last is the Smoky Slate banner that has been run through the Decorative Dots embossing folder. Then the dots and edges were swiped across the Basic Gray Archival ink pad. All of the banners were punched with the Banner Triple punch.
Finally, there’s the sequin accent using sequins from the Metallics Assortment.
That’s it for my clean and simple Timeless Textures card.
Thanks for stopping by.
