I’ve been sitting here thinking about the busy week ahead — partly due to my procrastinating. My daughter has two concerts and another performance. Since I’m the “uniform mistress”, I’ve got uniforms to finish getting ready. While I can put in a hem, I don’t enjoy it so I’ve put it off. Let’s just say that I have several dresses to finish up tomorrow. Today, I ignored that and did a little crafting.
I seem to be on a designer paper kick as I look back over my last few creations.
Today is no exception.
I decided I just had to create something today using Timeless Elegance designer paper.
I started with a Basic Black cardstock base and added a 2 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Timeless Elegance.
To give the card a little pop of color, a 1″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Melon Mambo was added.
Next,
I added a strip of Tear and Tape across the seam where the two papers meet. Over the Tear and Tape, I adhered strips of Gold Metallic Bakers Twine.
Then, I cut two butterflies: one from Basic Black using the Butterflies Thinlits; and one from Gold Glimmer Paper using the Bold Butterfly Framelits. I slightly offset the top butterfly to give the appearance of even more dimension.
Finally using the Fine Tip Glue Pen, I accented a few of the flowers in the designer paper and the Melon Mambo cardstock with sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment.
Thanks for stopping by!
Now, let’s see what else I can procraftinate with today.
