Hi! I’m Sara Levin theartfulinker an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in the US. Welcome to my blog. Today, I’m sharing three Jar of Flowers cards and a video tutorial. Come take a look at these simple stamping through avid stamping cards!
Three Jar of Flowers Cards
Simple Stamping Card

For this simple stamping Jar of Flowers card, I started with one of the Note Cards and Envelopes. These are my favorite canvas, if you will, for simple stamping cards. There’s less real estate to design making it easier to create good no layer cards. AND, they come 20 to a pack which makes them great to have on hand for quick last minute cards.
After stamping, I colored using Watercolor Pencils from Assortment 1 and Assortment 2. My technique for the watercolor pencils was also simple. It’s one that any level card maker can be successful with! See the technique in action in the video below.
Casual Stamping Card

For this casual stamping Jar of Flowers card, I stepped it up a little bit. Though, you may look at it and think there’s a lot more going on than there really is. I love when that happens! Easy and looks complicated is a win in my book!!
Here, I colored with Stampin’ Blends. I show you all of the easy coloring details in the video below.
And probably equally important in stepping the card up from simple to casual is the addition of layers. The In Good Taste and Pattern Party designer papers play well together!
Avid Stamping Card

And finally the avid stamping Jar of Flowers card! This card is similar to both the simple and casual cards. But, I’ve added some additional details and layers.
Again, I colored using Stampin’ Blends. They are probably my favorite coloring media. The colors can be both intense or soft. And the ease with which one can achieve shading detail lifts your coloring.
Also, I again paired the In Good Taste and Pattern Party designer papers. As you can see with these two cards, it’s easy to mix and match patterns to create more visual texture for your cards.
Next, I added a couple of cardstock frames. They add more visual texture and the colors help to make everything tie together and pop.
