Here we are at the end of July and before you know it school will be back in session. Sooner for some than others. As I created this morning, I thought this would make a nice little gift for the first day of school. Nothing big or expensive. Just a nice handmade gift to let the teacher know that your student is excited about the coming year.
So here’s what I have:
I had this Soft Sky box that I’d made with the Envelope Punch Board a while back. When I spotted it this morning, I knew that I wanted to play with it. And, I had to break out the Kinda Eclectic stamp set that I had received at Convention. This set has been on my wish list since I first opened the catalog.
I added a belly band to the box and stamped using images from Kinda Eclectic. My colors here are So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz and Crisp Cantaloup. I love how nicely these stamp images layer. The Elegant Butterfly punch was used. Then, a few Basic Rhinestones finish the outside.
They say it’s what’s on the inside that counts and in this case it’s true.
Enclosed in the lovely box are a handful of love notes also created using Kinda Eclectic. I’ve kept with the same color palette as the outside of the box. The notes really show how versatile the stamp set is — not only in design but in the size of your creation. This set works whether you’re creating something small or large.
