Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin theartful inker. Today is not only the beginning of Sale a Bration — whoot, whoot!! But, it’s the Creating Kindness Blog Hop. We’re sharing fun ideas for Bendi cards. To share with you, I’ve created a Tea Together Bendi card along with video how to.
Tea Together Bendi Card
I don’t create many fancy fold cards — though I do enjoy them!
So, the bendi card theme for this month’s Creating Kindness Blog Hop
was a great excuse to try this type of fold.
Bendi Card Basics Video
Take 5 minutes and learn how to make a Bendi card.
You can find all of the measurements in a PDF below.
For the back/base, emboss with the Tufted embossing folder.
Wrap with Old Olive Linen Thread.
I chose one of the Life is Grand sentiments because,
the swoosh in the font made me think “steam”.
After embossing the sentiment in gold, cut it out by hand.
Then add Petal Promenade designer paper to each of the “arms” on the card.
Stamp the cup and pot from Tea Together twice on Very Vanilla
and emboss in gold.
Use the Tea Time Framelits to cut them out.
Then trim part of the second cup and pot closer.
The Tea Time Framelits are FREE during Sale a Bration!
Stamp the trimmed pot with the small flower in Petal Pink.
Add Pearls to the trimmed cup and the base layer.
Adhere the trimmed cup and pot over the whole cup and pot with Dimensionals.
On the back, add a piece of Very Vanilla stamped with the small Tea Together flower.
Then, tie a bow with the loose ends of the Old Olive Linen Thread.

Hello Sara, I loved this card and had never done a bendi card before. I made one like it for my card class – lots of changes but the same basic idea. Would you mind if I posted it on pinterest and stampin’ connection being careful to give you the credit for the idea and listing your blog site?
Hi Karen ~ So glad you like my card enough to give it try! I would not mind at all that you share your card and where you got the inspiration. That’s just lovely! Please let me know when you’ve shared yours. I’d love to see it!
Beautiful and creative design Sara. Love the colours and pops of gold
Thanks Jay! It was a fun way to use these stamps and designer paper.
Love your card, I have never tried one, but thinking I need to, especially as I have that beautiful tea set and dies!
Thanks Jennifer! I hope you’ll give it a try.
So inventive and beautiful, Sara!
Thanks Jenny! I’ll definitely be playing with this fold again.
Oh I love this Sara. Such a clever way to use the tea cup and pot. x
Thanks Lou! I appreciate this fold giving me another way to think about the cup and pot.
Lovely card Sara and great idea x
Thanks Angela! It was a fun fold (no pun intended) to play with.
Oh, my!! How blooming clever to use this set. It looks like you are pouring me a cup of tea. When would you like me over?! Love it Sara!
Just the look I was going for Paula! How does tomorrow work for you?
Precious!
Thank you Wendie!
Beautiful card Sara! This stamp set is perfect for a bendi card. It was so nice to see your lovely face in your video. Hugs – Charlet
Thank you Charlet! A little stepping outside my comfort zone – including a little of me in my video 🙂
Gorgeous Sara … loving that tufted background, it adds such opulence to your wonderfully elegant Spot of Tea, darling! 🙂 xx
Thanks! Cheryll. Your Spot Of Tea comment makes me think this could be a fun invitation for a girlfriends’ gathering!!
