Hi there! Thanks for stopping by to check out what I’ve created for you today. It’s been a while since I played a design challenge. So since I started today’s process with nothing in mind, I pulled up one of my favorite challenge sites — Global Design Project. My Tags and Trimmings for GDP109 card follows their color challenge.

Tags and Trimmings for GDP109
–
The GDP109 challenge was all about color this week.

I started my card with an Old Olive base.
Then, I added a layer of Basic Black followed by a layer of Old Olive.
Next, I used the Tree Rings background stamp and embossed in gold.

For the Basic Black scallop, I used the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.
Then, I cut a piece of Merry Music designer paper.
To make this black paper blacker, I embossed in clear.
While I was at it, I sprinkled in a little gold glitter.
At the top of the designer paper, I tucked in a narrow strip of Gold Foil paper.
And at the bottom is a piece of Gold Glimmer paper cut with the Starburst punch.
Next, I cut two Everyday Label tags from Vellum.
I embossed the top tag with a sentiment from Tags and Trimmings.
Finally, I added a Gold Foil snowflake and some of the negative pieces left from the die cut.
