I’m enjoying a relaxing day today with almost no commitments on my time and getting a little excited. Most of my family is coming in tomorrow evening! I love when we can get together but, with everyone’s schedule the last couple of years we haven’t seen as much of each other as I would like. Other than spending a little time today planning a cold picnic dinner, I have the whole day. It might be time to find a new book! But first, this morning I put together a quick, clean and simple card.
I finally had time to play with my Swirly Bird stamps.
LOVE them!
This is a perfect, reproducible “thank you” card. Lovely — but not complicated!
I’ve started with a standard 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Bermuda Bay cardstock base scored and folded in the middle.
Then, I did my stamping on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ Whisper White piece of cardstock.
The first image was placed in the lower left — it was inked in Pool Party. I stamped a second of the same image on a piece of scrap paper and cut it out to use as a mask.
After placing the mask over the Pool Party image, I stamped the next pair of images in Bermuda Bay. By masking the first image, it creates the illusion that the next pair of images sit behind the first image.
Next, I added the three swirls in Crushed Curry followed by Wild Wasabi pairs of leaves.
Using the small scribble die from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, I cut a piece of Bermuda Bay to adhere to the Pool Party image. The Fine Tip Glue Pen was perfect for the delicate lines.
Finally, I stamped “Thank You” from Rose Wonder in Pool Party before adhering the Whisper White panel to the card base.
