I got up this morning and suddenly realized that Valentines Day is almost right around the corner! Time to get in gear and share a couple more of the ideas that have been swirling around in my head. I’ve already shared a couple of things that lean a little more towards the romantic side of the house. But, we like humor here. So today’s creation leans towards the humorous side for this Sweet Cupcake for Valentines Day card.

Sweet Cupcake for Valentines Day Card
I used Sweet Cupcake.
It’s a bit non-traditional — tongue in cheek.
The base is Early Espresso with layers of Whisper White cardstock and Sending Love designer paper.
I used two of the cupcake frosting stamps inked in Early Espresso.
The most solid stamp was inked and then stamped off.
The swirl layer was inked and stamped full strenghth.
My sentiment was created using the Labeler Alphabet.
Letters were inked in Real Red.
I choose to stamp the letters one at a time so that I can close the gap that the footer on the stamps create when lining up an entire word at one time.
The words were cut out and added using the Foam Adhesive Strips.
After cutting the frosting piles with the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits,
I brushed the swirls with Clear Wink of Stella.
In fact, I gave them a couple of coats so that they would be extra shimmery.
Using the back of my Piercing Tool, I rubbed the back of the frosting to give it a little bowed shape.
Dimensionals were added under the frosting.
In the lower right corner, I added three Red Glimmer Paper hearts.
Inside, I added another trio of Red Glimmer Paper hearts.
And on the corner of the envelope, I used the heart from the Labeler Alphabet stamp set
to create a pile of hearts.
