Last night and this morning I had classes where we made a Printer’s Tray decor piece with a summer theme. I’ve been offering these classes for a while now as the seasons change or for holidays and there are still new things to do with them. These trays are an easy piece of decor to switch out or to give as a gift. And, they’re fun to design/make.
Here’s the newest addition:
I love the size of these trays and assortment of box shapes. There’s a combination of punch art, stamping and My Digital Studio used to create the images in the boxes.
Stampin’ Up! designer paper is great for these as you know that all of the designs in the package coordinate with each other. For this tray, I’ve used the Flowerpot designer paper.
After making a list of things that make me think “summer”, I begin filling the boxes.
Here I’ve got a summer favorite — roasting marshmallows over a fire.
Almost everybody thinks of the pool or beach as part of enjoying summer. And my punch art floater is no different than the rest of us.
A tall, icy glass of lemonade anyone? Refreshing on a hot day.
There are lots of other summer themed images on this tray that speak to me of warm weather fun. How many of them will you be enjoying this summer?
