Hi there! I’m coloring again today. In fact, I’ve been rummaging through my stamps to find a few more outline stamps. The coloring has been so much fun — I want to do more! Today, I created a simple Sugarplum Dreams Nutcracker Suite card. I’ll definitely have to play some more with this set.

Sugarplum Dreams Nutcracker Suite Card

I started with a Pink Pirouette cardstock base.
Then, I added a doily followed by a layer of Whisper White.

Next, I stamped the Nutcracker and Mouse King with Memento Black.
I like to stamp off first so the outline is more gray than black.
Using Stampin’ Blends markers, I colored in the nutcracker.
For him I used:
Light and Dark Night of Navy,
Light and Dark Smoky Slate
Light Cherry Cobbler
Light Pink Pirouette
Dark Daffodil Delight
Ivory and the Color Lifter.
Then for an extra detail, I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen to emboss the crown and his buckle.

For the Mouse King, I colored with:
Light and Dark Rich Razzleberry,
Light and Dark Smokey Slate
and the Color Lifter.
Stampin’ Blends will be available in my store on November 1.
I used the same technique to emboss the Mouse King’s crown and his sword.
Finally, the ballerina is on an oval cut with a Stitched Shapes Framelit.
You can find the rest of the details about her in yesterday’s post.
