Hi! So glad you’ve stopped by. Today as I’ve been creating, I’ve been reminiscing. You see, I hemmed and hawed about getting this stamp set. The whole time, I knew I would! My daughter has danced practically her whole life. I thought she was done as she didn’t dance last year. But, she’s back at it this year. For at least the last eight years, the Nutcracker has been part of her December. If you’ve got a dancer, I think you’ll love my Sugarplum Dreams ballerina card. And if yours isn’t dancing the Nutcracker, this ballerina is perfect for recital cards!

Sugarplum Dreams Ballerina Card

I started today’s card with a Pink Pirouette cardstock base.
Then, I embossed a Pink Pirouette layer with the Quilt Top embossing folder.
It gives the card a lacy, feminine feel.
Next, I added a strip of Merry Music specialty designer paper.
After all, there’s no dancing without music.

Next, I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut a Whisper White oval.
Then, I stamped the ballerina from Sugarplum Dreams using the same technique as yesterday.
After that, I colored her using Stampin’ Blends:
Light and Dark Pink Pirouette
Dark Rich Razzleberry
Bronze
Ivory and
the Color Lifter.
Stampin’ Blends will be available in my store beginning November 1
Once she was colored, I added some sparkle with Dazzling Diamonds.
And before adding the finished oval to my card, I tucked in part of a doily.
