I have been so full of energy the last few days. Maybe it’s the warmer weather we’ve been having. Maybe it’s that I got to see both my mom and my daughter last week. Maybe it’s something else entirely. Whatever the cause, I’m loving it! It feels like I’m getting so much more accomplished. You’re going to love today’s succulent garden made with Oh So Succulent!

Oh So Succulent Garden
Over the weekend, I had two classes — one was my monthly Scrapbook Club and the other was centered around creating with the Oh So Succulent bundle.
We created succulent gardens.
I found these cute distressed drawers that were perfect for holding a succulent garden. We added a little spanish moss as filler. The rest (of course) is all handmade.
A Few Details
“Plants” were cut from four different cardstock colors. You’ll want lots of layers to get the dimension of real succulents. Some of us used hot glue to adhere the layers and others used Dimensionals.
Tip: Dimensionals give a little more separation between layers. Which gives a more authentic look. Be sure to use the coordinating Stampin’ Write Marker to color the sides of the Dimensionals so that you don’t have white showing through.
You’ll want to stamp some of the layers using the Oh So Succlent stamp set. That adds some nice texture! And, you’ll want to use Sponge Daubers to add color to the edges of the Succulent Framelits die cuts.
Before assembling, don’t forget to use your Bone Folder to give the leaves of your succulents a gentle shape near the end.
Tip: Be careful not to round the succulent leaves too much or they will become flowers. Not that flowers are bad — just different.
