Hi! I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. Welcome to my blog! With the Holiday Catalog coming on September 4, I have some new products to play with. Those and a question from one of my team “I can’t afford everything in the catalog, what do I do?”, inspired today’s Stitched All Around in Basic Gray card. Acquiring new paper products is a lot like adding to your wardrobe. Or, at least it is for me. I always ask myself “how can I use xxx”.

Stitched All Around in Basic Gray

For this card,

you’ll start with a Basic Gray card base.

Then, cut a frame from Whisper White using the

number 1 and 3 Stitched Rectangles.

Chart HERE

The Whisper White background layer is 3-3/4″ x 5″.

Place one of the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks

from the Holiday Catalog over the Whisper White.

Masks are a great, versatile addition to your card making supplies!

Use your Stampin’ Spritzer to spray on a mixture of

Memento Ink Refill, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and alcohol.

Just look at all that beautiful shimmer!!

Tip: If your color is not as intense as you would like it to be,

let the first spritz dry before spritzing again.

This will keep the design from spreading/becoming blobby.

While you are spritzing,

spritz a strip of Woven Threads Trim.

Stamp the sentiment from Stitched All Around in Basic Gray

on Whisper White.

Then cut it out with one of the Stitched Labels Dies.

Add some loops of Silver Metallic Thread

and a narrow strip of Silver Glimmer Paper to accent the sentiment.

And, finish with Rhinestones.
