Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. It’s the fourth Sunday of the month so that means it’s Stamping Sunday! This time it’s the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Tropical Chic. We’re featuring projects made with the Tropical Escape suite of products from Stampin’ Up! Let me share what I’ve created with you, then you’ll want to check out the rest of the talented design team.
Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Tropical Chic
For my Tropical Chic inspired project, I created a lantern
which can also be a gift box.
Around the top of the box/lantern,
I’ve used Tropical Escape designer paper.
It’s part of the designer paper BOGO – HERE

In the base of the lantern, I cut four windows
and inserted panels cut with the Tropical Thinlits.
To use the lantern as a gift box rather than table decor,
I would line the panels with Vellum or Window Sheet.
While the lantern can be used without a lid,
I couldn’t resist creating a lush tropical garden on top.
No bow needed for this gift box!
For that tropical garden, I stamped images from Tropical Chic.
Then, I die cut the stamped images and cardstock pieces with
the coordinating Tropical Thinlits.
Using my Bone Folder, I shaped the various leaves and flowers.
By doing this, I created both movement and dimension on the lid.
Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my Tropical Chic Lantern!
