Hi! Welcome to my blog and the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. As I thought about what I might create for today, a friend came to mind. She is celebrating a birthday this weekend. And, I thought my Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Stitched All Around projects should be created with her in mind. After you’ve seen what I have to share, be sure to hop on through to the rest of the design team and their lovely inspiration.
Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Stitched All Around Card
The first thing that drew me to the Stitched All Around Bundle
was the lovely stitched dies.
There is a fabulous assortment of shapes!
Plus, the dies to add embossed detail.
And, the stamp set has a versatile set of sentiments and texture images.
For today’s projects, I used Basic Black and Lovely Lipstick with gold accents.
Along with the fab bundle, I incorporated the gorgeous
Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Paper.
It is STUN-NING IRL!!
Over the Lovely Lipstick card base, I added a piece of
Basic Black that was embossed with the
Scattered Sequins folder.
With it, I added a subtle bit of texture.
Then, I layered two pieces of the Broadway Bound designer paper.
Over that, I looped some Lovely Lipstick 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon.
After cutting the Whisper White with one of the Stitched Labels Framelits,
I stamped the sentiment using the Stamparatus.
First, I masked off “fabulous” with washi and stamped in Lovely Lipstick.
Next, I cleaned the stamp with my Simply Shammy and masked everything
but “fabulous”.
Once I had stamped “fabulous” in Versamark, I heat embossed in gold.
To finish, I used Metallic Sequins and Clear Rhinestones.
Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Stitched All Around Birthday Favor
A birthday card needs a favor or gift.
So, I made this little box using the Gift Bag Punch Board and
Lovely Lipstick cardstock.
Using the Stamparatus and the Hinge Step Technique,
I stamped the cross stitch image along the bottom.
Then, I added a piece of Broadway Bound designer paper.
To make the bow, I have three strands:
Lovely Lipstick 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon
and
Black and Gold 1/8″ Cord.
Using the Stitched Labels Framelits, I cut
Basic Black, Lovely Lipstick and Whisper White pieces.
After stamping words from Stitched All Around,
I layered the die cut using Dimensionals and Foam Adhesive Strips.
Then, I finished with a single Clear Rhinestone to accent “friend”.
