Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Stampin’ Blends

I had a ball coloring this coffee drink!
I mean…these things seriously make me want to color!!
For my color inspiration, I used my favorite Starbuck’s coffee beverage.
My card base is Early Espresso
Then, I topped it with a layer of Cherry Cobbler.
And for my focal layer, I used a piece of Thick Whisper White.

After stamping the cup and whipped cream from Coffee Cafe it was time for coloring.
To color, I used a combination of Stampin’ Blends (see product details below).
Once I’d achieved the desired look, I added a couple of frosty drips.
They’re a sneak peek of new product from the Occasions Catalog!
Next, I used Light Smoky Slate and the Color Lifter to add a light shadow at the base of the cup.
Sorry it’s hard to see with the lighting.
Then, I added a piece of 1/8″ Gold Ribbon (currently on sale!).
And finished with a 1″ circle punch stamped with images from Merry Cafe.
Anybody else notice that the cups in these two sets are slightly different?

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Stampin’ Blends Project 2

For my second project, I created a cupcake using images from Coffee Cafe.
Again, I used an Early Espresso base followed by Cherry Cobbler and Thick Whisper White.
For the cupcake liner, I used the coffee cup collar image.
Then, I used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to draw in the lines.

–
For my chocolate cupcake and icing, I used a combination of Bronze and Ivory.
Then, I colored the cupcake liner with Light and Dark Old Olive.
Again, I added a shadow at the base of the cupcake with Light Smoky Slate and the Color Lifter.
And around the top, I added a highlight with Light Pool Party and the Color Lifter.

I’d love to be your demonstrator if you live in the United States!
Fun cards Sara! Your blending on the first coffee cup is INCREDIBLE! It actually looks like the cup is perspiring or wet… it just looks real. Great job!
Thank you so much Maria! That’s exactly the look I was trying for 🙂
Great cards – I’m guessing you are a coffee girl. Me, I prefer tea or hot cocoa! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Melanie! Yes, I’m definitely a coffee girl though tea also has a place in my world.
As the weather is so cold, now I need an hot chocolate and a cupcake, thanks to you 😉 Have a good day
Oh for sure! Enjoy a lovely hot cocoa and cupcake and celebrate the day.
WOW Sara, you have created a stunning iced coffee !! Makes me thirsty lol I adore the subtle christmas holly on the front too. All finished with a sweet treat
Love your colouring x
Thank you Kim! I had totally overlooked those cute holly bits until I was creating this project.
Mmmm, mmmm … I can smell the iced coffee Sara! Your colouring of the coffee cup is amazing! The little drops of condensation are genius! xxx
Thank you Cheryll! This girl runs on coffee. I knew when I saw those drops at OnStage that I had to have them.
Hi Sara, wow you are amazing and the technique how you used the Stampin’ Blends. I love it and I should use the blends more often 🙂
Thanks Martha! The Blends are amazing to use — I just love they way they color.
