Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Snowflake Sentiments
–
–
I am loving Smoky Slate for Christmas this year!
For my card, I used a Smoky Slate cardstock base
with a Smoky Slate layer.
–
–
In the upper left, I cut three swirls from
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.
And for my sentiment, I heat embossed in silver.
Then, I cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelit.
–
–
At the bottom, I added a lacy layer of Vellum that I cut with the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits.
Next, I stamped the large snowflake from Snowflake Sentiments.
Then, I heat embossed with a combination of Clear embossing powder
and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.
The final touch is a strip of Smoky Slate Gingham Ribbon.

Project 2
–
–
For my second creation, I made a gift card holder.
I think everyone needs these at the holidays!
Once again, I started with a piece of Smoky Slate.
–
–
After masking it, I stamped the sentiment from Snowflake Sentiments.
Then, I heat embossed before cutting it with the Pretty Label Punch.
After adding a strip of Smoky Slate Gingham Ribbon,
I cut a Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper snowflake with the Swirly Snowflake Thinlits.
–
–
Also on the front, is a Dazzling Diamonds swirl.
I love this little die cut!
So many possibilities for ways to use it.
–
–
On the back, I created a zipper opening using the dotted line die
from Swirly Snowflakes.
Then, I added a Circle Tab punched piece of Smoky Slate.
This piece is topped with a Silver Foil circle
and two Dazzling Diamonds snowflake to mirror the front.

Snowflake Sentiments Gift Card Holder with Zipper
Directions
–
–
To create your own gift card holder:
- cut a piece of cardstock 4″ x 4-7/8″
- score 1/4″ on three sides
- score landscape at 2-5/16″ from the unscored end
- Angle cut the ends of all of the tabs you’ve just created.
- “V” cut at the center score line.
–
–
Place the dotted line die on the “back” of the gift card holder.
Next, place the cutting plate over only the portion of the die you want to cut with before running it through the Big Shot.
Repeat for the second line.
Then, cut the dots at one end as shown above with the colored lines.
Next, trim one side of the Circle Tab punch so that it fits inside the zipper.
Assemble the gift card holder with the card inside.
Finally, decorate.
