Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin theartfulinker. And while I’m enjoying time with my daughter today, I’ve created something for you to enjoy for the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Seriously the Best. Our theme this month combines a favorite from the Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog with products from the Annual Catalog. Let’s check out my creations and then be sure to see what the rest of the talented team have in store for you!

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Seriously the Best

My featured Mini Catalog product is the
Seriously the Best stamp set.
I love big sentiments and I cannot lie!
These sentiments can stand alone on a card, be added to a background stamp or incorporated into a more detailed design.
Details HERE

Often my Stamping Sunday projects are divided into simple, casual and avid stamping.
But, this time I seem to have created along the borders of those categories.
This simple stamping / casual no layer card,
uses Free As A Bird stamp set images to create a soft background.
Then using the sentiment from Seriously The Best with my Stamparatus, I added the sentiment.
By stamping the sentiment in Memento, you’re free to create whatever background you choose as the black ink will easily work over top.

For my second card casual and avid stamping meet.
To create the background splatter, use a stamp from Waterfront in Bermuda Bay.

Add a Soft Suede branch cut with a Seasonal Layers Die.
Then, stamp flowers from Free As A Bird and color with Stampin’ Blends.
After fussy cutting the blossoms, add them to your branch.

Use a Stitched Shapes die to cut a circle from Whisper White.
Then add a random pattern of Free As A Bird flowers.
Stamp leaves and the bird on Whisper White.
After coloring the bird with Stampin’ Blends, fussy cut the leaves and bird.

Stamp the Seriously The Best sentiment on Basic Black and heat emboss with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
Then cut it out with a border so that it has the same feel as the title words on the Mini Catalog.
Tuck in a couple Bird Ballad banner strips
and some frayed Whisper White Flax Ribbon.

Finish with Iridescent Sequin Mix sequins.
Don’t you just love how that big sentiment pops!?!

Beautiful and a delicate colour palette too. Love! xx
Thanks, Mikaela! I think that color palette gives the cards their delicate look.
Your cards are so pretty Sara, love the colors and that stamp set is on my wish list
Thanks, Janneke! I know you’ll love using this set. It’s like a little black dress — goes with practically everything.
Once again, I love your cards Sara! Great idea to combine these two products and the results are fantastic!
Thank you, Tami! I can’t tell you how excited I am by a big sentiment. They combine well with so many images!!
I adore your casual/avid card Sara! Your little blue bird reminds me of a budgerigar! A family pet when we were kids! xxx
Thanks, Cheryll! How awesome to have had bird inspiration right at your fingertips! I took mine for the bird right from the Bird Ballad designer paper. Glad he looks kind of real.
