Hi! Welcome to my blog. Today, is the first Stamping Sunday hop for February. We are so glad that you stopped in! And, we’re pleased to have Jenny Hall join us as our guest designer. Jenny has a lovely style. I can’t wait to see what she created. For Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Petal Passion, the design team is highlighting the products from this suite in the Occasions Catalog. Let’s get started!
Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Petal Passion
I started with a fun fold for my card.
This card is narrow at the top and with its fun cut, you get a peek at the inside.
On the front, I covered the Thick Whisper White base with a piece of Petal Passion designer paper.
Then, I stamped and colored the flowers from Petal Palette.
Before adding them to the card front, I tucked in a Silver Glimmer Paper
Petals and More die cut and
loops of Silver Metallic Thread.
I also used some of the “left overs” from the die cut as embellishments.
Inside, I stamped the watercolor dots from Petal Palette.
They make a nice accent when the card is closed.
And, they are a subtle hint to not write below that point.

Project Two
For my second Petal Passion project, I made a coordinating purse.
I used the Lots to Love Box Framelits.
Then, I added Petal Passion designer paper.
On the top flap, I added Silver Glimmer Paper.
And, I stamped the cluster of flowers from Petal Palette and used them as a spray
down the front of the purse.
Behind the flowers, I added Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon and Black Mini Sequin Trim.
To the flowers, I’ve added bubbles from the Glitter and Clear Epoxy Shapes.
They look like dew drops.
On the purse front, I used a few more of the “left over” pieces from the die cut.
And, I added a 3/4″ Circle Punch of Silver Glimmer Paper to act as the closure for the purse.
Finally, here is a side view.
So that the flap can close over the top, the sides are scored.

Oooo I love the contrast. So striking and such a cute little purse too x
Thanks Mikaela! I can’t wait to find an occasion to give that little purse.
Wow Sara, so much to love. I really like the partial die cut on the card front, very clever. The colouring of the roses is so dramatic against the black and white stripes, and your use of the left over bits from the glimmer die cut is fabulous! xxx
Thanks Cheryll! The cluster of roses is a perfect die for the partial die cutting — I love the shape.
Oh goodness, Sara. Gorgeous romantic elegance in your project’s style. Addition of the purse is perfection! Thanks for sharing this project, it’s amazing!
