Hi! I’m Sara Levin the artful inker an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in the United States. Welcome to my blog and today’s Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Paper Perfection. For today’s hop the design team are all using the pretty designer papers from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. I’ve used Texture Chic and Perfectly Penciled designer papers with the Christmas Scottie stamp set for my creations and video. Let’s take a look!

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Paper Perfection
Christmas Scottie Christmas Card

For my first card, I couldn’t wait to play with the Texture Chic Designer Paper. It is hands down one of, if not my favorite designer paper in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. I love, love, love foiling and this paper has plenty. And, I also enjoy creating with a paper that has a more abstract design.
The first thing I thought of when I pulled out the Texture Chic paper was combining it with the Christmas Scottie stamp set. It makes a quick, cute, non-traditional Christmas card. I know you’ll be shocked 😉 that I don’t create many red and green cards.

There are plenty of easy layers here, which means making multiples is easy too. Just grab your punches!
To tie the Christmas Scottie in to the foiling on the designer paper, I stamped and heat embossed him in gold. So, he’s ready to celebrate!
Christmas Scottie Sympathy Card

For my second card, I wanted to use the Perfectly Penciled Designer Paper. The black and white designs are great! And, I just knew it would coordinate well with the Christmas Scottie images.
Since I needed to create a sympathy card for a friend who has just lost her fur baby, I wanted a more delicate design from my paper. The smaller floral print and the polka dots add just enough interest without being too much for a sympathy.
Then for the stamping, I kept to Memento ink to keep to a simpler look. And to add just a bit of color, I punched Real Red to create the sprays framing the dog.
