Hi! I’m Sara Levin the artful inker an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in the US. Welcome to my blog and today’s Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Must Have. Each of the design team members is using a “must have” product from the new Stampin’ Up! 2022-23 Annual Catalog. I’ve used a few of my “must haves” including the Alphabest stamp set and Stylish Shapes Dies.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Must Have
Alphabest Stamp set

“Must Have” for today’s purposes means products that are new in the new 2022-2023 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog that just went live a couple of weeks ago.
For me, that list included the Alphabest stamp set and Best Label Punch. They’re available individually or as Alphabest Bundle.
I love having an alphabet stamp set! It’s fun to create a custom sentiment or be able to add someone’s name on a creation.
And let’s not forget that cute punch. The Best Label Punch is great for layering the alphabet, as you can see. But, I also see it as a cute little tag for a favor and for small sentiment stamps.
Rays of Light Stamp

Two more “must haves” for me are the Rays of Light background stamp and the Iridescent Rhinestones. I like the texture in the rays so that you get double visual texture from this stamp. And, I think it’s great in lots of colors including the Polished Pink I’ve used here.
As for the Iridescent Rhinestones, you can see them here. They don’t really have a color of their own which I think is perfect. I like some of my embellishments to be kind of here and not here making them more subtle. The Iridescent Rhinestones take on some of the color from your creation while also adding a little sparkle.
Stylish Shapes Dies

And my final “must have” that I’m sharing today is the set of Stylish Shapes Dies. I know these dies are going to be one of the sets that I reach for creation after creation.
First, I used one of the banner dies to cut a Granny Apple Green accent for the beginning and ending lines of my custom sentiment.
Then, I layered a Stylish Shapes die cut with a Layering Circles die cut under my focal image from Whiskey Business. At a recent gin tasting, I had a gin that started out blue. So using Orchid Oasis Stampin’ Blends and the Lightened Blends technique, I colored the liquid in the glass to reflect the Butterfly Pea Flower gin that’s popular right now (it changes to a beautiful pinky purple when you add the tonic).
And to accent the layered circles, I used piece cut with the Bough Punch and colored with the Alcohol Ink Dip Technique.
Stylish Shapes Dies Size Chart

The Stylish Shapes Dies are definitely on my “must have” list whether you’re just getting started with die cutting for your cards or you’ve been at it a while. These three basic shapes are great for layers and sentiments. I love the double row of stitching on each die as you get both a stitched cut out and a stitched frame around the hole left behind.
You’ll want to pin this Stylish Shapes Dies size chart so that you have it when you need to check a size for your crafting.
Thanks for stopping in today!
