Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. Today, I’m hopping with one of the fabulous Stamping Sunday design teams! We are excited to highlight products for you from the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. For the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Making It Bright, we are using Making Christmas Bright and Making Every Day Bright and the coordinating products. Let’s take a look at my creations.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Making It Bright
For my creations, I couldn’t wait to play with the uber cute
Making Every Day Bright!
I just love a versatile stamp set and this one is versatile in spades.
To start, I used a Thick Whisper White base.
Then, I added a layer of Flirty Flamingo to create a tight mat.
On the Whisper White focal layer, I started by stamping the bulbs from Making Every Day Bright
in Memento Black.
Then, I used one of the Journaling Pens and my ruler to add cords to my bulb cluster.
Next, I stamped the the heart bulb and used the coordinating
Christmas Bulb Punch to cut it out.
To add color to the bulbs, I used Light Daffodil Delight and Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends.
Tip: To make using the Christmas Bulb punch really easy,
punch a piece of cardstock.
Then, use the holes to place the bulb and base stamps.
This way, they will line up perfectly for the punch!
For the sentiment, I used the Labeler Alphabet.
Once the words were cut apart, I added Foam Adhesive Strips and
and accent image from Making Every Day Bright.
To finish the card, I added sequins from the Iridescent mix.
Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Making It Bright Favor
To make my favor, I started with a piece of Whisper White and
stamped it in Flirty Flamingo with the Buffalo Check stamp.
After scoring, I added a 1-1/8 Flirty Flamingo scallop circle.
Over that, I adhered several loops of Rose Metallic Thread.
Then, I stamped the bulb from Making Every Day Bright
and cut it with the Christmas Bulb Punch.
Again, I colored the bulb with Stampin’ Blends.
Inside, I’ve placed a single mini Ghirardelli square
using a Mini Glue Dot.

How did you get the center of your bulb clear? Mine comes out the memento black.
Sharon ~ I used the bulb image from Making Every Day Bright. It is just an outline image so it does not pick up background/fill in color. If you’re using the same image, any chance you’ve used the footer side rather than the image side? I ask that because I mounted the wrong side of a stamp just this afternoon — no image just solid color.
My problem was I was using the light bulb from Making Christmas Bright. I appreciate your quick response and great idea.
So glad that resolved that problem!
I love the favor. So adorable. Do you know the measurements of the cardstock with the flirty flamingo buffalo stamp and the chocolate. I LOVE IT. Pink my fav….:)
So glad you like this Bonnie! I love these little RAK size favors. So, I included it in my Spooky Sweets Online Class.
I love everything about your projects Sara! Such a great tip to use the cardstock as a guide on a clear block. I have only used that trick for the stamparatus.
Thanks Ashley! It’s funny how it is often the little tips and tricks that make our crafting day.
Dear Sara,
it is a great idea to use the lamp stamps. Love it.
Thanks Cornelia! So glad you enjoyed this way of using of the bulbs.
Wonderful projects..
Thanks Manuela!
Adorable Sara! I love both of your projects …. equally … I can’t decide which I like better! 🙂 xx
Thanks Cheryll! The images in this set are just soo cute!
Lovely projects Sara, thanks for sharing the tip about the punch.
Thanks Kim! I can’t wait to play more with this set.
