Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Jan June Mini 2022 Sneak Peek
Mischievous Mice Stamp Set Sneak Peek
I enjoy a stamp set that I can color. Add to that the cute mice and this Mischievous Mice stamp set is a win for me! You’ll find it in the January June 2022 Mini Catalog that goes live on January 4.
The images add a little variety to my stamp selection. I know it’s hard to believe but not everyone needs a flower on their card 😂 So what I’m saying is, these mice give me options. In addition, the set gives me some good basic sentiments (nothing mushy) in a font that works for adults, kids, males and females.
Mischievous Mice Card 1
I had trouble deciding what stamp set I would share with you today. There are so, so many fun ideas swirling round in my head. So I put out my pile of Pre Order stamps from the January June 2022 Stampin’ Up! Mini, closed my eyes and picked one. As you can see, the winner was Mischievous Mice, one of the Host Sets from the Mini Catalog.
To start, you’ll use a piece of Bumblebee Cardstock cut with one of the Picture This Dies.
Next, you’ll stamp the image on Basic White and get ready for some coloring fun. For this you’ll need your Stampin’ Blends in Smokey Slate, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and So Saffron. Shading is the key here to making the cheese and the little mouse come alive.
Then you’ll finish by using your Paper Snips to fussy cut the cheese and the mouse. And accent with some of the new Classic Matte Dots.
Mischievous Mice Card 2
As soon as I finished rolling the Picture This Die through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss, I knew I wanted to figure out how to use the negative pieces on my second card. Those die cut, stitched circles were too good to toss aside.
But, I needed a little more background for the card. So, I used my Soft Pastels to create a watercolor like effect.
Then, I was on to stamping another of the cute mice in the Mischievous Mice set. Again, I used Stampin’ Blends. For my colors this time, I used Smokey Slate, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Magenta Madness. And for some of my shading, I used my Lightened Blends Technique.
