Hi! I’m Sara Levin the artful inker an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in the United States. Welcome to my blog and today’s Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Headstart on the Holidays! This is always an exciting time of year with all of the holidays coming up that we love to celebrate!! I’ve already shared a few Christmas creations so for today, I’ve turned to Halloween and the Scary Cute stamp set. Let’s take a look at my card and candy slider and the video tutorial.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Headstart on the Holidays
Scary Cute Halloween Card

Y’all have been telling me it’s time to start thinking about Halloween creations. So sharing a Halloween card for today’s holiday themed blog hop seemed like the perfect choice!
We love Halloween at my house. It’s all about the fun and creativity. We like to make our own costumes and treat packaging.
The Scary Cute stamp set seemed like a good choice for some fun Halloween creations.
For my card, I started by using my Blending Brushes to create a background.

After using some of the trees from Mountain Air to add some visual texture, I added the little fairy girl from Scary Cute.
Then, I used the Scary Silhouettes Dies to cut the moon and the sentiment tag.
And the card wouldn’t be complete without some fairy dust and stars. For those, I used the awesome For Everything Fancy Sequins. What a great mix of colors, shapes and sizes!
Scary Cute Halloween Candy Slider

Next, I wanted to create some Halloween treat packaging that will hold a stick candy such as a single Kit Kat bar. You know it’s nice to be able to share a little something with friends and coworkers.
Again, I turned to my Blending Brushes for the background. And then, I stamped the fairy girl silhouette from Scary Cute.

Next, I added the focal layer to a layer of Basic White cut with a Scalloped Contours Die. Check out the simple details of the cut lines and piercing.

To finish this Scary Cute candy slider, I added some Starry Sky In Color Metallic Ribbon to the pouch I created with the Celebrations Tag Dies.
