Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin aka the artful inker. Today, I’m here as part of the Stamping Sunday design team. We’ve got lots of inspiration to share with you as you tour the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop First Frost. This has been a favorite set of mine in the last couple weeks. If you don’t already, I’m sure you’ll love it once you see what we have to share!

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop First Frost
I’ve used the First Frost bundle.
It includes the First Frost stamp set
and Frosted Bouquet Framelits.
Lots of awesome possibilities!
For this First Frost card, I turned to Christmas
(I’ve been making everything else but…).
To start, I used a Tranquil Tide card base with a
Gray Granite layer cut to form a tight mat.
On the Whisper White layer, I stamped berry clusters in
Merry Merlot.
Then, I stamped the long greenery in Tranquil Tide and cut it out
with the Frosted Bouquet Framelits.
I love how the texture in the stamped greenery compliments the
texture in the Joyous Noel designer paper!
Tip: To get the best results from these stamps, less ink is better.
If your ink pads are currently juicy, try adding ink to
these stamps with a sponge dauber or ink spot.
Over my stamped background, I added a strip of
Joyous Noel specialty designer paper.
Then, I have a square of Copper Foil Paper.
For the sentiment, I used a First Frost stamp inked with Versamark
and then embossed with copper.
To cut the sentiment layer and it’s mat, I used dies from Frosted Bouquet.

Favor or Small Gift
For my second creation, I made this Christmas favor or small gift box
that features the sentiment.
To create this box, bag, favor…
I used the Gift Bag Punch Board.
Let me know if you’d like dimensions and I’ll pop them in the first of the week.
For my layer, I used the same design elements are on my card above.
And, the layered Frosted Bouquet tag was perfect to finish
the simple look of this piece.
The footprint of this favor makes it an easy one to add to
your holiday celebrations.

I would love the measurements if you are willing to share! Thank you!
Thanks for asking Mary! I’ll try to have them added later this afternoon as a download.
Your projects are lovely as always Sara! I love the combination of Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide with this suite.
Thanks so much Ashley! Combining Merry Merlot with Tranquil Tide makes me think I may miss Tranquil Tide when it retires at the end of May
Oh, so beautiful projects!! I love the colors you have chosen!!
Greetings, Manuela
Thanks so much Manuela! When I create for Christmas, I’m always thinking “can someone make lots of these”. This card fits that bill.
Lovely Sara! The embossed greeting is stunning. xx
Thanks Cheryll! Embossing makes almost everything better!
