Hi! Welcome to my blog. It’s time for the Stamping Sunday design team to hop. We’re excited to bring you lots of inspiration for using Brusho Crystal Color! And, we’re excited to welcome Stesha Bloodhart as our guest designer this week. She has a really great style. I can’t wait to see what she’s done with Brushos. This is such a fun product to play with that I got a little carried away with variations on a theme. I think you’re going to love our Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Brushos almost as much as we’ve enjoyed creating for it!

When I started, I knew I wanted to use the Tutti-Frutti Cards as my base.
So, I decided to see if I could make the Brushos color coordinate.
Here, I’ve used Prussian Blue.
–
–
First, I painted a wash background on Watercolor Paper in Prussian Blue.
Then, I cut a stencil using an Eclectic Layers Thinlit.
I used the stencil to add some Shimmery White embossing paste leaves.
Once they were dry, I painted the leaves with a green I got by
mixing Prussian Blue and Yellow Brushos.
Before finishing with the background, I splattered on some of the same green from the leaves.
–
–
Next, I embossed the Beautiful Day butterfly in copper on Whisper White.
For the solid part of the butterfly, I mixed Clear Wink of Stella with Prussian Blue crystals.
In real life, it shimmers!
In the white spaces, I brushed on a little water and tapped in a few crystals.
–
–
Next came the Lemon Lime Twist card base.
For the background, I mixed Yellow and Prussian Blue Brushos.
Yep! That’s the same colors as for the leaves above.
–
–
For the butterfly, I brushed on my Lemon Lime Twist mixture
and let it dry.
Then, I dabbed on some water (barely damp) and tapped on some Gamboge Brushos.
With this treatment, they barely burst.

Two More Beautiful Day Variations
–
–
For the Daffodil Delight card base, I started with a Yellow wash.
Then, I splattered in some green once the wash was dry.
–
–
After painting this butterfly with yellow and letting it dry,
I brushed on some wet Gamboge.
When it was almost dry, I tapped on some Gamboge crystals.
–
–
Once again, I mixed Brusho colors to create a new shade.
When the wash on this card dried, I splattered on full strength Gamboge.
–
–
After brushing in the outline color, I cleaned my Aqua Painter.
Then, I put bubbles of water around on each wing.
To add color, I touched my brush to the color mixed on my clear block
then touched it to the water bubble.
Before my cardstock had a chance to absorb all of that water, I blotted it away.
