Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin aka the artful inker. Today, the Stamping Sunday design team is hopping! We’re each sharing a favorite stamp set that will be carrying over to the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. It’s hard to choose — my favorite changes. But for today’s Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Beautiful Day is my favorite!
Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Beautiful Day
My choice was the Beautiful Day stamp set because of this big, beautiful flower.
I’m a sucker for flowers in general but particularly a large one
that can be treated in a variety of ways.
For this fancy fold card, I started with a Thick Whisper White base.
I have chosen to cut the leaf off of my Beautiful Day flower
so that I can add leaves where ever I want them or not at all.
For the front of the card, I stamped two of the large flower
in Daffodil Delight.
Then, I trimmed around the one in the top right so that you get a peek into the
inside of the card.
Next, I added a flap to my card that has the flower on both sides.
I reverse stamped the flower so that the two match up.
(I’ll share more about that later in the week).
For the sentiment, I used a stamp from Eastern Beauty.
Then, I used my Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends to add dots to the front.
To finish the dots, I added a dome of Fine Tip Glue to each.
Inside, I stamped a partial flower in the upper right.
This left me plenty of room to write a message to my mom for Mother’s Day.

Project 2
To coordinate with my fancy fold card, I made this Beautiful Day favor box.
I stamped the flower on pieces of Thick Whisper White and then
cut them out by hand.
On the sides, I used the Basket Weave dynamic embossing folder
(available June 1 if you did not get it during Sale a Bration).
It gives them some nice detail!
On the way down to mom’s yesterday, I stopped and picked up some artisanal chocolates.
They will be perfect in this pretty little box!

Jaw Dropping projects, Sara. The little basket full of chocolates is just adorable and your card is simply breath taking. I am sure your Mother truly loved these stunning treasures.
Thanks you so much Jackie! Yes, Mom did enjoy her box of chocolates and card. I’m always pleased that she appreciates my handmade creations.
This is lovely Sara, I do love a bit of stamp surgery to make them suit our needs and I love the flap with the reverse image!
Thank you Ashley! I’m always reluctant to perform stamp surgery and always happy that I have done so. I love increased versatility!!
Oh what a fabulous idea you have added with the opening of this card Sara. I love it. So much inspiration here, thank you x
Thanks Mikaela! With a little reverse stamping that flap could have all kinds of images — such fun!!
