Hi! Welcome to my blog. I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. Today, I’ve created for the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Abstract Impressions. I’ve had this idea in my head for a while. But before creating for today, I looked up current color trends for weddings. Soft Sea Foam is spot on! I know you’re going to love this along with what the rest of the team has created with the suite of products that you can find on page 129 in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.
Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Abstract Impressions
For my card, I used a new color – Soft Sea Foam.
The card is made with a base and matching layer.
Then, I created the lacy overlay using the Springtime Impressions Thinlits.
To make the overlay, I cut two of the large floral pieces from Whisper White
and assembled them in a slightly overlapping fashion.
Next, I wrapped a piece of Silver Metallic Edge ribbon around the
Soft Sea Foam layer.
Once I cut a piece of Soft Sea Foam to the right height,
I masked the sentiment from Abstract Impressions
to stamp just the “love”.
After heat embossing in Silver, I used the Detailed Trio Punch
to turn my strip of cardstock into a tag.
Finally, I finished this Abstract Impressions wedding card with a few
Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

From the wedding card, I moved on to create a wedding favor.
First, I stamped a random pattern of flowers from Abstract Impressions
in Soft Sea Foam.
Then, I softened the cardstock by drawing it across my bone folder
so that it would be easy to shape before hot gluing.
Next, I added a lacy Whisper White piece cut with the same
Springtime Impressions Thinlit.
After gluing it on, I added a handle of Silver Metallic Ribbon.
To finish, I created a tag as above and tied it to the ribbon handle
using Silver and White Baker’s Twine.
These favor cones are beautiful laying on a table
or even hanging from a tree as I’ve used them for past events.

So soft and pretty, love all the lace effect.
Thanks Ruth! Though lace isn’t what I saw when I first looked at the set in the catalog, I’m so glad it can pass for it!
Beautiful in these colors Sara! It reminds me a bit of Wedgwood.. Really elegant! x
You’re right Yvonne! I didn’t even see that until you mentioned it. Might be a couple other colors that would evoke that same look.
