The theme for the TSOT223 challenge this week is “rain”. The first thing I thought of was “clouds”, which led me to the Tree Builder punch. I ended up going with a simple idea tied to the sentiment that I chose. I’m at least a “half full” kind of gal most of the time. And I’ve decided that attitude is a choice.
A little rain must fall…
This card started with a base of the new 100lb Whisper White cardstock. Love the feel of it! Then a layer of Soft Sky, that had been stamped with an image from Stamp A Bag, was added. Those streaks made a great rainy looking background. I think the rain was coming down like that here last night.
The clouds are Smoky Slate and Silver Foil paper that have been cut with the Tree Builder punch. I used the coordinating cloud stamp from Sprinkles of Life to give the gray cloud some detail.
The rain drops are from Sprinkles of Life and were inked with Memento Tuxedo Black and stamped off first so that their outline is kind of gray rather than a harsh black. After the ink had dried well, I filled each drop with Crystal Effects so that they look wet.
Then, I accented the sentiment with loops of Silver Metallic Thread and a row of Basic Rhinestones.
The sentiment is an example of the choice I mentioned at the top. You just have to look for it. Sometimes, you just have to decide it’s there.
