Southern Serenade with Petal Pair

Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin the artful inker.  Today, I’ve been doing some of the things I like to put off — like laundry.  My sister is coming for a visit and other than creating, I wanted to be sure to be caught up on all the “other” things.  Once I was done with the not so fun part of my day, I treated myself to a little card making.   I put together this Southern Serenade with Petal Pair card I’m about to share.

Southern Serenade with Petal Pair

 

Today, I used Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green.

 

 

The inspiration for this card came from a trio of scrap circles

I had tossed on my counter.

Looking at the way they were lying, I thought they would make

a great card layout.

On my Thick Whisper White base, I have a layer of Melon Mambo.

 

 

Then on the Whisper White layer, I stamped the flower from

Southern Serenade in Lemon Lime Twist.

Next, I added a strip of Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon.

Using Granny Apple Green, I stamped the sentiment and

added a Lemon Lime Twist accent.

After adding the scallop and stitched circles, I added Basic Rhinestones

to finish the card.
