Southern Serenade Thank You

Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin aka the artful inker.  I’ve been absent a couple of days as I was busy on this end packaging up “to go” classes and preparing my customer appreciation thank yous and thank you gifts for last month.  Since I’m almost caught up and before I head to OnStage tomorrow, I thought I’d share my Southern Serenade Thank You creations.  That may help keep me grounded for a little while longer.  I’m so excited to see my demonstrator friends and the new Annual Catalog.  Plus, I’ll get to play with some new products!  Let me move along while I can still focus.

Southern Serenade Thank You

Two Ways

 

 

I create several different thank you cards each month.

For my most recent set, I played with Southern Serenade.

When I started the creative process, I was thinking color and reproduce-ability.

 

 

For this card, I used Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Lemon Lime Twist.

After layering the focal image, I added a couple of small actual layers.

Those skinny strips left from cutting layers are the perfect size for the lace!

Finally, I embellished with Baker’s Twine and Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

 

 

 

Because I enjoyed the previous color combo so well,

I decided to try another.

For this card, I went with an even cleaner design.

 

 

One of the things that I love about creating cards is the simplicity with which

I can change the look of my creation.

For this card, I used Berry Burst, Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lime Twist.

To soften the tones just a bit, I stamped off with both the Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lime Twist.

This time, I created a single layer card with just the two small dimensional pieces.

Then, I finished my creative time by making the packaging for my thank you gifts.

Using the Envelope Punch Board makes this a breeze!

Next, I stamped with images from Southern Serenade.

And, I finished with some of the beautiful Crinkled Seam Binding.
