Southern Serenade and Stitched All Around

Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin aka the artful inker.  Today, I’ve been cutting cardstock for my Cardstock Sampler Ring orders.  And, I had this truly lovely pile of scraps.  So, I decided the scraps needed to be turned into cards.  My Southern Serenade and Stitched All Around card is the first of the cards that I will make with this beautiful pile!

Southern Serenade and Stitched All Around

 

 

For my card base, I used a piece of Blackberry Bliss.

Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the lacey stamp from Southern Serenade

in Granny Apple Green onto the Whisper White layer.

After adding my strips of Black berry Bliss and Granny Apple Green,

I stamped the lace again.

 

 

For the flower, I used the Stamparatus again.

First, I colored the flower outlines with my Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Marker.

After stamping, I cleaned my stamped with my Simply Shammy.

Then, I colored the leaves and flower centers with my

Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Marker.

To tint the flowers, I scribbled Blackberry Bliss onto one of the Stamparatus plates

and picked it up with my Blender Pen for coloring.

And finally, I fussy cut the flowers.

 

 

For the sentiment, I used one from Stitched All Around

inked in Blackberry Bliss.

Then, I cut it out with a Stitched Labels Framelit.

To embellish, I used Gold Metallic Thread and some Metallic Assortment sequins.
