I’m working a little ahead for a change. On Sunday, I have a wedding to go to and of course will have a gift to give that needs a card. Since I make my own cards, I’m often at the last minute creating something. But, I’m procraftinating today. So, I have my wedding card done early! Let’s check out my Something Borrowed for Wedding card.
Something Borrowed for Wedding
It’s an easy one. In fact, it’s perfect if you’ve left it to the last minute.
After my Blendabilities class on Sunday, I’ve been in the mood to color. That dictated how I would create today.
I pulled out my new Pink Pirouette Blendabilities and the lovely Something Borrowed designer paper. I decided that I would tint all of the roses on my piece of designer paper.
I may have said this before but I’ll say it again, I love that you can color the designer paper with Blendabilities and basically create a whole new paper.
Blendabilities Coloring Tip
Tip: this paper really wicks the ink. So use a light touch when applying your tint and don’t color adjacent sections. Let one petal or section dry while your color another petal or section that is not touching the first section. This will help to keep the ink from wicking into areas where you may not want it. I used the Color Lifter to color over the white lines in the design to keep my Pink Pirouette out of those areas.
Finishing Touches
I’m sure you’ve noticed that there is no stamping on this card. I decided the designer paper was the star of the show. Applying a light hand with embellishments, I scattered a few Basic Pearls, tinted a filter paper flower and added a strip of Sahara Sand Lace Trim.
Now, I only need the gift.
