If you are a regular visitor to my blog, you know that I love 3d creations and boxes particularly. Favors, gift boxes, RAK’s — yep! I’m in.
One of the things that I hear from friends who want to make something for a holiday is that they want simple yet elegant/pretty. If they’re making a lot of something they don’t have time in their busy lives for a more detailed creation. So I like to share, on what I call Simple Sunday, things that meet that description.
Today, I’ve got some Tiny Treat Boxes that I’ve decorated for Easter.
I think they’d be fabulous on a holiday table.
I’ve done my Tiny Treat Boxes two ways.
Really simple with a piece of colored cardstock.
The cardstock was scored and then die cut with one of the Window Box Thinlits.
Then just fit it into the Tiny Treat Box.
Add a little shred,
and in this case some of the Cadbury Mini Eggs
and you’re all set!
Then, I stepped them up just a little bit.
I wanted them to still meet the simple requirement.
As you can see, it doesn’t take much to bring them to the next level.
For the Pool Party lined box,
I wrapped a piece of Thick Baker’s Twine in Whisper White and tied a bow.
There’s also a piece of White Pom Pom Trim tucked into the bow.
And, a Happy Easter tag cut with the
Classic Label Punch.
For the Flirty Flamingo box, I simply tied a length of
Gold Sequin Trim
around the box.
Then, I stripped a few sequins from either end
so that you see the gold thread.
It has a tassel like effect,
which adds a little more texture.
And if you’ve got just a few more minutes,
the Pear Pizzazz box may be the one for you.
I used the Succulent Framelits to cut a So Safron flower.
The tips of the petals were daubed with Flirty Flamingo ink
and then curled gently with a Bone Folder.
