Sew You March, 2015 Paper Pumpkin

I was so excited to see my Paper Pumpkin kit arrive today.  I’m feeling a little under the weather and didn’t want to bother creating today — it felt like too much effort.  I’d rather spend the day sitting in a sunny window and pretend to be a napping cat.  That’s what happens when you stay up too late playing with the computer 🙂

Paper Pumpkin changed that!  There was no effort required really.  In just about five minutes I had something created and photographed.  That must be a world record for me!

True to form, I couldn’t quite bring myself to make exactly what the directions show.  But, I am in the vicinity.

Here’s what I chose to do on my first go round with this month’s kit.

Love these patterned card bases!  In fact as I type this, I’m surprised that I didn’t cut the base in half so that I would have doubled the patterned pieces to work with.  Hmmm — may have to alter this just a bit when I’m through here.

I used my Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Marker to connect the “Y-O-U” dots.  It gives the word a kind of marquee look.

Under the speech bubble die cut, I added an oval cut from Coastal Cabana cardstock. Then instead of lacing the Daffodil Delight cotton twine, I tied a simple bow and added a glue dot.

I think these cards are super cut!  And you can bet that I’ll be tracing one of the speech bubble die cuts so that I can have more in the future — neat shape to add to a card or scrapbook page.
