Sea of Textures in Blushing Bride

Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I’m Sara Levin the artful inker.  Today, I’ve been in full list making mode.  I’m taking a girls weekend away with a group of friends.  And I suddenly realized that before I could even think about my packing list, I had better check the weather for the weekend.  Well instead of checking the weather, I ended up creating Sea of Textures in Blushing Bride.  Perhaps after I finish this post, I’ll remember the weather…

Sea of Textures in Blushing Bride

 

 

There are lots of lovely texturey  bits in the Sea of Textures stamp set.

And though I’ve played with the set before, I wanted to use more of those

images when creating today.

For this card, I used a color palette of

Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand and Soft Sea Foam.

 

 

For the leafy image, I inked with Soft Seam Foam and stamped at varying heights.

Then, I added a texture piece in Sahara Sand.

But, I stamped off first to mute the tone.

Next, I stamped a couple of the larger coral image in Blushing Bride.

And, I die cut and stamped a third coral.

After cutting the small sand dollar, I used a Sponge Dauber to add

some Sahara Sand around the edge.

Tucked under the coral die cut, I added loops of Copper Metallic Thread.

 

 

For the sentiment, I masked one from Sea of Textures.

Then, I heat embossed in Copper.

After layering with Blushing Bride, I added a few Pearl Basic Jewels to finish.
