I love those cute little girls from Sweetie Pie and just had to create with them again. As I prepping some of my food for this evening, I began to think about how I would like to use them. I guess my thoughts turned to the upcoming family dinner and the flashbulb (pun) went off. Why not create a “photograph”?
I picked these girls for their hair. Each cut is different and it would allow me to stamp them close together so that they could fit into the frame. Have a look.
Three of the girls look happy to be there and the fourth looks, well, a little pouty. I carefully colored their hair with the fine tip of my Stampin’ Write markers so the Basic Gray ink they were stamped in wouldn’t smear.
The girls sit in the middle of a Baja Breeze polaroid style frame from the On Film framelits.
The base is also Baja Breeze with a layer of Retro Fresh designer paper.
Now, lets take a look at some details.
In the top right corner, I added some Banner punches (this punch will be available in the new Idea Book and Catalog) in Daffodil Delight and Baker Brown Sugar. They are topped by a Candy Dot from the Subtles collection. And under all of this you see a bit of Pear Pizzazz fringe.
To embellish the bottom of the frame, I added a bit of Island Indigo bakers twine. The loose ends are attached with a Glue Dot.
The “hi” was cut using one of the accent pieces from the Label Thinlits card. I’d forgotten that I had this word until I began to think about what I could add. Do you do that? Again, I added a Candy Dot (Brights Collection). This time for the top of the “i”. Then, I finished with one of the Hung UP Cute Clips pointing towards those sweet girls. Oops! almost forgot the Baked Brown Sugar banner peeking out from under the “Hi”.
I don’t know about you, but I love family. And family photos…they’re just fun to look back at. Even when there’s one or two sweet pouty faces.
Time for me to get back to dinner preparations.
