Hi! I’m Sara Levin the artful inker. Welcome to my blog! It’s Friday!! That means it’s time for a quick and easy Fast Friday card. This week I’m thinking masculine and back to school. The college kind of back to school, as I have several friends who have just finished with move in. Each week I try to provide you with one no layer card that can be made in five minutes or less. Today, I’m sharing a Sailing Home card with no layers and a slightly stepped up version.

Sailing Home Card

No Layer Card

For this no layer card,

you’re going to use Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes.

No cutting or scoring needed!

Using the Sailing Home stamp set,

ink your sailboats in Blueberry Bushel.

Next, add birds in Basic Gray.

Then stamp the compass rose in Pool Party.

And finish by stamping the sentiment over top the compass rose

in Blueberry Bushel.

This is one of those times I prefer to use the Stamparatus (it’s optional)

to make sure everything is straight and in case

I need to stamp a second time.

Start to finish this card will have you ready for the mail

in less than five minutes.

Sailing Home Card

Stepped Up

If you’ve got a little more time and want to step things up,

this second Sailing Home card is for you!

Start by stamping the sailboats in Night of Navy on Whisper White.

Then, add the cluster of birds.

Next, use your Aqua Painter to swish in color for a hint of water.

Stamp and punch the compass rose.

Then use your Stamparatus to add the sentiment.

Layer the sentiment on a Night of Navy circle.

Finish with strips of Come Sail Away designer paper

on a Night of Navy card base.

These masculine cards (though a female make like them too)

are perfect for the young man who has just move in to college.
