Never fear, we’re back to winter temperatures today making it perfect for some craft room time. And today is the Safari Celebration A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. The design team have lots of alternative ideas to share with you for the February 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit. Let’s take a look at the alternates I’ve got for you below!
Safari Celebration Kit
The February 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit contained:
- 9 printed card bases (3 each of 3 designs)
- 9 printed and lined envelopes
- 9 Vellum stitched die cuts (3 each of 3 designs)
- 9 graphic animal die cuts (3 each of 3 designs)
- 3 sheets of die cut leaves
- 1 sheet of die cut banners
- 1 sheet of die cut circles

Safari Celebration Alternative Card 1
For this first alternative card for the Safari Celebration Paper Pumpkin Kit, I created a birthday card. We can all use those throughout the year!
As you can see, I used one of those pretty card bases from the kit. And in addition to the leaves stamped with an image included in this month’s stamp set, I’ve added a few more leafy bits in the kit’s coordinating colors.
Because this card base reminded me of one of the sheets in the Friendly Hello Designer Paper pack (Sale-a-Bration), I reached for the pack. After picking a coordinating design, I die cut a layer to go behind the sentiment.
Safari Celebration Alternative Card 2
For my second alternative card, I used another of the card bases from the kit. The Bumblebee and Basic Black play so well together!
Over the layer cut from the card base, I added a die cut layer stamped with a random pattern using stamps from the February kit.
After stamping the sentiment pieces, I die cut those as well. Then, I added a bow tied from Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon add a little softening touch to the design.
