It was a busy weekend of pumpkin carving and costumes. We love the creativity of it! I’ll be sure to share some pictures once I put together my Project Life page. But in the meantime, I decided it was time to shift to Christmas. I’ve been holding off as I don’t like to rush things. But now… it’s time!
I pulled out the Festive Flower Builder Punch and Reason for the Season and combined them with GDP009.
The colors for the challenge were Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe. To those, I’ve added Very Vanilla.
The flower is super simple to make using the tips I’ve shared in this video:
Once you’ve got your flower pieces, you’ll want to assemble the flower.
I chose to use hot glue as my flower will get a little more handling with it on the front of my box.
–
Using my Two Way Glue Pen, I added Gold Glitter to the center of the flower and speckled the top set of petals. You’ll also find a Basic Pearl sitting in the very center.
Tip: I used a skewer to shape my petals. Just gently roll the sides of the petals around the skewer. You get the round shape without the hard crease from a score line.
My box was made using the Gift Bag Punch Board and the directions in this video:
–
For today’s box, I did change the dimensions for the top. The measurements are 5″ x 7″. Otherwise the directions are exactly the same.
Time to make your Festive Flower – Reason for the Season flowers.
